It’s more than a painting. It’s Vargo Art!

Art inspired by the darkest time anyone of us could have. A time when I was knocked to my knees and no longer wanted to play the game of life. Bold, colorful paintings with lots of texture and techniques that are ‘outside of the lines and rules’ helped to lift me up. In defiance of the systems that, I felt, had let me down (even though I had followed the rules), I began to think, be, and paint outside of the lines. Both videos still evoke tears, for which I am grateful because the anger and pain at that time led to my current style, which I feel is unique. That is all I wanted my art to be, like no one else and outside the lines. There’s no way I would use conventional tools like a brush and palette knife. The paint is thrown with great velocity, much like a pitcher to home plate. It is often painful but cathartic and has, I believe, a uniqueness that cannot be replicated.
